@finbackbrewery "Split the Night" Coffee Porter. I honestly do like the offerings I've had so far from this New York state brewery. I definitely have had Porters that were deeper in flavour and more rich however given the 6.4% abv I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. Also I would of liked more of that coffee flavour. Mild roast, nothing too pronounced but definitely smooth with a medium body and mouthfeel. A tad bit of chocolate and a tad sweet. I could drink this again! ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾

@biererieshelton I seriously commend you guys for putting out this amazing series(IPA du Jour). I have to say these are the damn best IPA's you can possibly sip on right now in Quebec. Life will be very difficult having to settle for anything else. This 2nd edition is brewed with Vic Secret supported by Azacca & Amarillo hops. A Vermont style ipa that's well rounded & juicy with a slight fruity side. Mostly dominated by citrus and grapefruit pulp, this beer brings the most joyful side out of me with that assertive & lingering bitterness. Nice little buzz from the hops but the mouthfeel is oh so soft and plump. I know Shelton produced an award winning neipa but didn't know they had this in them. @biererieshelton let's make these brews a reoccurring production. 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️

@beneluxmtl "Nébulose" is a saison/farmhouse blend. These guys are constantly putting out these attention to detail complex aged beers. Definitely had better as they set the bar so high but I did enjoy this one! A rustic ale with a slight tart fruit flavour & some of that barnyard funk(barely noticeable). Light notes of hay and floral undertones. I get much of the dry yeast on the backend. Overall decent but like I said, they set the bar pretty high! ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾

Considering @beerguymtl and I are heading off to Toronto as we speak... figured I'd go with a No. 13 Barnowl 😜 I honestly think you can't go wrong with a sour ale consisting of raspberries and cranberries together, especially from @bellwoodsbeer. A really nice bright beer with that sparkling acidity. You get most of the cranberry astringency on the finish which is really nice but raspberries are the main stage here. Tartness is carried the whole way through with some delicate oak characteristics. Not much to go on about other then a whole lot of hell yess!! 🦉 🦉 🦉 🦉 🦉 🦉

@microbrasserievoxpopuli Sour Ipa. Not used to the sour aspect in this IPA Démocratique hop experimental series. This series has been an absolute banger till now. Even the milkshake sat really well with this base recipe but didn't enjoy this sour variant. Simply found there was way too much acidity for a sour ipa. No carb and no hops present. More of a flat juice. Anywho they've all been great with them single hops so off to the next one. 🔷️ 🔷️ 🔷️ 🔷️ 🔷️ 🔷️

I don't think I've ever had a nut brown ale that I didn't like. Simply love the style and what it brings. The two that stuck with me are from Dieu Du Ciel & another from Harricana. This one from @microbrasserievoxpopuli called "Hazel" is at par with the rest. First tried it at @mondialbiere and was so good I had to pick up a 355ml can. Hazel of course is dominated by hazelnuts throughout but has much more to offer. Along with its nutty profile this brown has notes of caramel, roasted cereals, mocha & a touch of chocolate. It's smooth, creamy with an earthy side and noticeably gives off a little burnt toast. Really yummy beer!! 🌰 🌰 🌰 🌰 🌰 🌰

Featuring @bloodbrothersbrewing "Balam" a bourbon barrel aged 11% imperial stout. I've been holding onto this beer with high anticipation because as fond as I am of this brewery, they've failed to deliver on some of their lighter beers. Now that I got a taste of one of their heavy hitters I am pretty pleased. This beer pours black as night with a decent mocha head. Aromas are bourbon, chocolate, caramel and the slightest of vanilla. At first sip, big boozy bourbon flavours smack you in the face. Following that are notes of bitter, dark chocolate and a sweeter molasses. The heavy roast and coffee notes bring a nice balance to the beer. The finish brings on notes of black licorice and a surprisingly dryer than expected ending. You can notice there's a slight smokiness to the beer but all in all you're left with a creamy, smooth & full bodied stout which gets better as it's aerated!! WOWOW this beer was absolutely fantastic. I can't believe this was only my 3rd ever @simple_malt_brasseurs beer. First one being only a month ago at @mondialbiere and so far all 3 tasted were excellent. I don't know what I've been doing with my life till now but I must come visit you guys at your brewpub on St-Hubert!! A beautiful wheat ipa "Tropique" brewed with pineapple and peaches. This beer is so damn juicy and dank. Flavorful and tropical, the pineapples really steal the show up until the finish where peach makes an appearance. I love the taste of wheat grains meshing with the hop bitterness on the backend. Great smooth body and mouthfeel. Seek this out! 🍍 🍍 🍍 🍍 🍍 🍍

Damn I seriously need to seek more beer from these young folks @affinitybrewco. Big thanks to one of my @beerswithpeps for this English gem. A take on an American IPA that is right down my alley. "Social Seduction" pours a murky golden orange with a big frothy white head. Insanely hopped with U.K. Jester hops and then dry hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe. In result we have a juicy, resinous ipa with an assertive, lingering and beautiful bitterness. Bitterness balanced with the malts however i'd say this is a perfect New England hybrid. Taste is grainy and grassy although balanced out by fruity sweetness and spice. Tasting notes include orange, cantaloupe, pine and grapefruit. I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish. 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️

Yup it's a @lenaufrageur kind of day. Featuring "Sumac" a Native American Ale whatever that may be, brewed using barley, wheat and oats. The beer focuses on the use of sumac berries, redcurrants & rose plants. Right off the bat the aromas are quite mute. There is a soft acidity to the beer and astringency, although big floral undertones are noted. Slightly tart, the wild sumac berries steal the show with young prune notes to follow. Pours a gorgeous rosée colour and is a uniquely good beer. - - - - -

Honestly the name "Québec Love" should become it's own style IPA lol. So many amazing ipa's have been released using this name within recent years. I have to say this is my favourite beer coming from @lenaufrageur that I've tried to date. This one here has a beautiful new and improved label from last year. It was also brewed with 100% Québec ingredients. It's a great assertive ipa with bold bitterness(which I love). Overall a piney and resinous IPA with a touch of cereal/caramel malts. A tad sticky with moderate carbonation. A decently hopped beer and a job well done considering the use of local products only. 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️ 🔹️

After being dissapointed with their last sour ipa the beasts whom are @pubpitcariboumtl are back to regular form. This here was fantastic. I think I'm reluctant to have another from their "Série L'Étoile" and much more willing to get others from their "Série Ipa Sure". The photo does not do the beer justice. The beer was cloudy af as most of the good stuff (yeast/sediment) remained at the bottom of the bottle. This brew was everything you look for in a sour ipa. Bright fruits and bright citrusy hops. The beers cutting acidity meshed so well with tart fruity flavours. Tasting notes include pineapple, lemon, orange & sea buckthorn berries. Beer was cold hopped with Mosaic, Palisade & Citra. Texture and mouthfeel was great and definitely hit the spot. 🔶️ 🔶️ 🔶️ 🔶️ 🔶️

First off big thanks to one of my @beerswithpeps for this pretty cool snag coming from London England. I'm not too sure but I believe this is a newer brewery that's made quite the big splash in the industry thus far. "Breeze" from @affinitybrewco is a Golden Saison brewed with lime and coriander. It sort of had me reminiscing of a Gose I've had before coming out of Collective Arts. It wasn't as dry and spiced as a typical saison but it had a fairly decent mineral carbonation to it. The coriander was extremely subtle(wanted more of it) but the lime and pepper combination was obvious. Hops were a tad faint but you are indeed left with a nice citrusy zest finish on the palate. Cheers beer fam! ◽ ◽ ◽ ◽ ◽ ◽
