We did a little workout using @gurneysmontauk as our playground! ▫️ 10 min Dynamic Warm Up that includes: worlds greatest stretch, knee grabs, ankle grabs, high knees and butt kicks. ◽️ Beach Sprints. 5 x 30s : Recover 30s. ◽️ Stairs. Run them 5 times! ◽️ Squats 3 x 20 ◽️ Barbell Bent Over Row 3 x 20. ◽️ Club Halos (or use a KB) 3 x 20 ◽️ Meditate for 10 minutes 🙏🏽 We get it! It’s hard to get to a hotel and have no idea what to use. Keep it simple. Use the outdoors and then do 3-4 simple resistance training movements. F I G H T I N G. B A C K. 🥊 I’m not superhuman. Got back in the gym for the first time yesterday and it was hard as hell! I wasn’t strong. I’ve lost endurance. It was not easy. Here’s the thing: that’s okay. I lowered my expectations and did the best I could. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s temporary. It’s my attitude that matters. I’m happy to be sore again and moving again! I also know this is a season. Life happens. I’m in the best shape of my life and then I’m not - over and over again. It’s a journey. If I got upset every time I wasn’t at my best I’d spend half my life disappointed. Come ride with me this Sunday 11:45am UWS @flywheelsports - 💪🏽💙

Road to Recovery. 🍳🥑🥦🥒🍠🍴 After being sick for weeks I’m mostly eating what I want when I want it. I’ve been craving a lot of sugar and carbs. I’ve also been craving greens and protein. The secret is giving myself a little of the sugar and a lot of the good stuff that my body can use. This is one of my favorite dishes from @lepainquotidienusa. One egg, avocado, cabbage, quinoa, farro, Brussels Sprouts and sweet potato. Put a 🥑 in the comments below if you want to see more of what i eat!

⭐️ R E A L T A L K ⭐️ I came home from Thailand and Cambodia with West Nile and Dengue Fever. I had a 103 Fever, neck and back pain, headaches, a rash on my hand and feet and extreme fatigue and have never felt worse. This past week I felt well enough to teach my @flywheelsports classes, but was not myself. My body has been fighting to get better and there was nothing left for performance. In fairness I didn’t know until yesterday that I had both viruses, but I could feel that I needed rest. In my first picture you can see how much weight I’ve lost (10lb) in my face and neck especially. I haven’t weighed 125 since I was 14 years old and rarely weigh myself anymore. To be honest, when I saw that number there was a part of me that got excited after being conditioned to want to be thin for so long. For years i had wanted desperately to be under 130lb. Looking at the pic, I much prefer to be healthy 135lb Holly. I’m taking it easy. I’m not working out. I’m sleeping and eating. I’m also so grateful for my health. When your body says STOP. Listen. We are in this for the long run. Huge Thank You to @jenniford1 for taking care of me on the 20 hour trip home and for an entire week following. She has nursed me back to health with love and care. Love is EVERYTHING ❤️❤️❤️

Found it challenging at times to squeeze workouts in on this trip. Inactivity makes me feel 👎🏾 Although I’d much rather run, swim, hike or surf while on vaca, between food poisoning, extreme heat and lack of space - the second half of the trip made it tough! @jenniford1 and I did an easy, no equipment needed workout you can do poolside. • Sit Ups. • Elbow to hand Planks. • “Box” Jumps. • Side Plank w Crunch. • Dips. • Squats. 60s each exercise for 4 rounds 💪🏽

Humbled and awestruck by the wonder of Angkor Wat. 400 acres of Temples built by hand and then covered by forests for over 500 years. We wandered through the ancient temples for hours originally built for Hindus and converted for Buddhist worship. Our tour guide was my same age, his parents and entire family were killed when he was 6 months old by the Khmer Rouge. His heartbreaking story and now triumphant life is a reflection of the hope and rebirth this country possesses. One of the greatest experiences of my life.

Cambodia 🇰🇭 Too close to miss the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. Blown away by the authentic architecture and detail of Phum Baitang.
