My little munchkin @babymiaelise and I got a bit of sun today in between packing to move house. I managed to get in a home workout from my FIT APP too! 😃 It’s funny, I’m so excited to get into the new place but I feel a little sad about leaving this house because of the precious moments we’ve had here. I was pregnant with Mia in this house & I have so many memories here. I remember feeling like a whale (full term) floating around the pool to relieve my back pain while humming to Mia in my belly & eating tubs of ice cream in front of the tv like a sloth. 🤣 I remember dancing in the lounge room trying to induce labour and then bringing Mia home for the first time... and showing Mia the swans that would come up to our back fence to say hello!... Aaah I’m so sentimental, sensitive and emotional these days - must be a mum thing I’m assuming? 🙈 I’ll always cherish the memories in this house (and the millions of videos and photos 😂). Now for the next chapter of our lives! I’m excited to create many new memories in our new house! 😊 Home really is where the heart is - and my heart is with my family. - Oh I’m so corny! 😝🙈 . #7monthspostpartum .
7.5 months postpartum . I been getting a fair few comments from women saying that I got back into shape too fast after giving birth to Mia. It’s not the case, it’s been 7.5 months and while I’m happy with myself, I am nowhere near as fit, strong or lean as I used to be and I didn’t “bounce back”. Being a fitness professional doesn’t automatically make it easier than others to get back in shape - yes I know how to do it but it still takes hard, consistent work. . I just want you to know that it does take a while for most people. Even though I’d been exercising for about a decade before falling pregnant it has still been tough for me to get my fitness back. I’m getting stronger all the time though! 😊 Over the past few weeks I’ve really noticed a big difference in my core stretch and upper body strength. I’m able to do 20 full push-ups in a row whereas a few weeks ago I couldn’t even do 1 properly! It feels so good getting strong again. I feel on top of the world! 😃🙌🏼 I’m happy with how my body is looking right now too and my goals are to gain muscle, get stronger and work on my explosive strength like sprinting and box jumps. 👊🏼 Remember to be patient while working on your goals. It takes time and dedication, but you can do it! 😉😘 . .
If only I could coordinate my life as well as our outfits! 🙈😂 We’re back from the U.S! I’m so grateful to be able to take my family with me on my trips. It would be so hard being away from them. After having Mia life has become a lot busier and more complicated but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Mia is of course my priority but it’s important to me that I continue working on my dreams and goals. Having children doesn’t mean you have to give up these things - except you may need to give up sleep for a while haha! 😆Apparently that gets better though?! 🙈 Some people seem to think that doing things that make you happy and investing time into yourself is selfish but it’s not! When you’re happy your family is happier and I don’t believe you can make others happy if you’re not happy yourself. ❤️☺️ . .
Find someone who loves you for you, lifts you up and encourages you to go for whatever it is you want in life. Never settle for less. . Dec you are my best friend. I love you so much. I consider myself a strong woman on my own but I’m stronger with you by my side. 😃💗 @recdedmond . . .

We’ve arrived at LAX & are currently waiting for our connecting flight to NYC! I spent most of my life trying to get people to like me and desperately wanted to fit in. If someone disliked me I’d obsess over trying to work out why and thought there was something wrong with me and it was my fault. I thought that if people accepted me and liked me that would translate into self acceptance and self worth but it does the opposite. It took me a long time to learn that you simply can’t please everyone and not everyone is going to like you. I stopped trying to change myself in attempt to fit in and started embracing who I am. Yeah I’m annoying sometimes, ok maybe a lot of the time 🙊 but I know that my intentions aren’t ever to hurt people - quite the opposite and I’m proud of that quality. I now spend my time with people who actually like me - the real me and love me despite all of my annoying traits. 😂 It’s no longer about “fitting in” or about trying to convince people I’m worthy of love and acceptance. I am worthy - I know that now, although sometimes I forget momentarily but it’s something I’m constantly working on. This is my biggest achievement in life (besides Mia of course). Finally I love and accept myself. What I think of myself is what matters most. 🙏🏼 Beautiful people, please don’t EVER try to change yourself in order to fit in. Be 100% you and work on loving and accepting yourself. You can only truly belong when you are the real you. #selflove #selfacceptance
LEFT: 1 month postpartum - RIGHT: 7months postpartum. . . No matter what your fitness goal is know that it takes time!! Don’t expect changes straight away, that will only set you up for disappointment which can be very demotivating. Focus on being consistent and before you know it you’ll start feeling and seeing changes. . I’ve gotta be honest with you though, I did have some moments when I was being impatient & would whinge to Declan because I wasn’t “bouncing back”. - It takes commitment, time and PATIENCE! Haha! 😝🙈 . It’s hard not to feel disheartened when others seem to get results fast. - This is exactly why we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others! We’re all different so don’t compare your journey to me or anyone else. Remember, I started working out 9 years ago so I have muscle that has taken me years to build and muscle memory. . I’m nowhere near as fit as I was pre-baby and I do want to get fitter and build more muscle but again, that will take time. I just want to feel good, and be healthy so I can be the best I can be without putting pressure on myself. I love my body right now and will keep working to get fitter and stronger. 💪🏼 . . Also, I don’t spend hours in the gym and I don’t train every day. I do my own workouts from my FIT APP and mainly follow the home workouts - they’re efficient and effective which is what I need since I’m busier than ever now. 😝 I also follow the meals in my program most of the time - they’re delicious, keep me full and aren’t hard to make (I’m not good in the kitchen - just ask Declan!! 😂) . Don’t forget, no matter what your goal is it’s important to love yourself along the way and be kind to yourself. 🙏🏼💗 . . #7monthspostpartum
I’m incredibly excited to announce I’m a part of the @goodamerican Good Squad! #7MonthsPostpartum . You know what I love! When people choose to uplift other people around them. Despite their insecurities or where they’re currently at in their lives they choose to show kindness and support others. It doesn’t cost a cent and it doesn’t take anything away from you, in fact I believe it adds to you and makes you a better and happier person. 😃🙌🏼 Show to others what you want to be shown. This is why I love all of you so much, you’re a huge community of awesome women and men who are kind and supportive toward each other. You uplift each other and show love. I believe it’s a choice to be that person and all of you choose that every day. How blessed am I to be surrounded by so many amazing people! I appreciate you all. 🙏🏼💜 .
