How often do you have first sexual encounters with people whilst totally sober? Β° A lot of conversations lead us to believe that for a number of us, sex is something we usually engage with under the influence of alcohol, especially the first time with a new partner. Is this healthy or does it create an environment where we feel we can only engage in sex when we are artificially connected to it? Would we have a lot of the sex we have if we weren't drunk? If no, how does that make you feel to think about? Β° Untangling the complex relationships we have with sex can be incredible challenging but ultimately, the payoff is incredibly rewarding πŸ˜‰ try out some sober sex and see how it challenges you! . . . . .

Hello there, it's been a minute. Today I want to talk to you about residual feelings, getting over someone and moving on. Β° In life we like to imagine love as linear - you meet someone, fall in love/lust/infatuation, break up, move on (however long that takes), meet someone new and repeat the cycle, but that's just not the case. How many of you have moved into new, happy relationships and been confused by the lingering, residual feelings for a former flame? Does this make you a bad person? Should we brush these feelings under the carpet and pretend they don't exist? Does this mean you're not truly happy? Absolutely not, and pretending you're not feeling them helps to keep them alive by avoiding the healing process. We're really good at avoiding pain by simply pretending it's no longer there to save face and avoid awkward conversations or hurting our partners. Β° In a simple world, we'd all just be able to move swiftly on and not take any of our emotional baggage into our new ventures, but we all know that's not the case. Whether it's romantic, traumatic or simply feelings of missing someone you once cared about deeply, carrying these with you for a long time is normal and something we fail to admit to, creating a stigma and allowing our paranoid and jealous sides to assume that if someone isn't 'over' an ex that it negates the new relationship in some way. Β° It can take years to get over someone. You might always hold a part of someone inside of you, the trauma from past relationships might haunt you for a long time, but it's important to work through those feelings, accept them, understand them and know that you can move forward with your life not even in spite of, but because of those feelings. You can love someone and still not be over someone else, because life is messy and tangled in the most beautiful way. . . . . . .

"YOU'RE TOO FUSSY" πŸ€” Β° All we want is someone who wants to sit next to us and brings us snacks, right? Everyone deserves a Peter Kavinsky, whatever gender/sexuality/relationship/form that takes for you. Don't let anyone tell you that you're too fussy, that your emotional expectations are too high or that you want too much. It's never too much to ask that someone meets your needs, is emotionally intelligent and crucially, will feed you crisps on demand. Life is too short to be in bland, unfulfilling or underwhelming relationships. In the immortal words of Whitney, 'rather be alone than unhappy'. Go get yours, boo. . . . . .

Just posted a really great image from an artist I love with a caption about under-representation of non-hetero male or alternative sexuality and non-cis bodies, but I wrote the caption in Instagram like an idiot and it posted the photo without the caption. I'm trying really hard not to be pissed off about it because I've been really good at not getting frustrated at things beyond my control lately. I don't have the minerals to re-write it so instead here is an accurate depiction of how I feel today. Tomorrow is a new day, nobody is perfect, let's try this again after another sun has set. ❀️ Yasmine x

b r i n g b a c k f i n g e r i n g Β° Fingering as a sexual act is underrated (in our opinion). When administered properly, it has the power to be your ultimate secret weapon. Fingers aren't supposed to be a lazy cheat for other penetration, so make sure you're moving those digits and finding out what motions your partner likes - or whether they even like fingering at all πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ don't be afraid to lube up your fingers either πŸ’¦ Β° A good fingerbang isn't just about what's going on inside, but knowing how to navigate the outside too. There are plenty of erogenous zones for you to explore with light touch, and maybe even a tongue for good measure too πŸ‘…. A tongue in combo with fingers is πŸ’₯πŸ”₯⚑ don't be afraid to switch things up but always remember that vaginas are sensitive, so don't go in too aggressively at the start - it's not a magic 8 ball πŸ˜… Β° With a two finger salute, over and out ✌️ . . . . . .

Next week one of the β€˜pussy problems’ that we’ll be exploring and sharing an education on is vulvodynia. Β° Vulvodynia is a chronic pain syndrome that affects the vulva area and occurs without an identifiable cause. The exact cause is unknown but is believed to involve a number of factors, including genetics, immunology, and possibly diet. Diagnosis only occurs by ruling out other possible causes. Β° Pain is the most notable symptom of vulvodynia, and can be characterized as a burning, stinging, irritation or sharp pain that occurs in the vulva and entrance to the vagina. It may be constant, intermittent or happen only when the vulva is touched. Symptoms may occur in one place or the entire vulvar area. It can occur during or after sexual activity, when tampons are inserted, or when prolonged pressure is applied to the vulva, such as during sitting, bike riding, or horseback riding. Some cases of vulvodynia are idiopathic where no particular cause can be determined. Β° Grace Hazel will be discussing this further with us, offering us a personal insight to vuvlodynia and more reproductive health issues related to pussies. . . . .

When was the last time you faked an orgasm? Β° Sometimes you're worried about hurting the other person's feelings, other times - dare we say it - you just want it to be over. Whatever the reason, faking orgasms helps no one. It doesn't help your partner understand how to give you pleasure and it definitely doesn't get you an orgasm. Finding the words to communicate what you want during sex can be difficult (and is something I've definitely struggled with - Yasmine), but if you want better sex, it's a journey worth embarking on πŸŽ’πŸš€ Β° If this sounds like you, keep your eyes peeled for some useful tips on how to get what you want in the bedroom coming soon πŸ‘€ . . . . .

Today the Supreme Court ruled that a woman would not be able to divorce her husband and so leave their loveless marriage due to the U.K. divorce laws stating that if one one party of the marriage wishes for divorce, they must be separated for 5 years prior to divorce being granted. This is opposed to the 2 year separation for those couples who both wish to divorce. Are the U.K. laws in keeping with the public attitude towards marriage and divorce? Should there be more freedom available in divorce, and should couples be able to divorce under a β€˜no fault’ reasoning should they just not wish to be together anymore? Let us know in the comments how you feel about the subject? We do cover relationships after all!! . . . .

If you haven't already this weekend, take a little time out today so think about yourself. What do you need? Is there anything you need to make sure you're set up for the week? LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE AT THE BACK πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Everyone makes mistakes - even really big, painful, ugly ones. You're no angel and neither are we, and it's near enough inevitable that you're gonna fuck up again in the future. Does that make you a bad person? Probably not. Is it important to accept your failures, hold yourself accountable and move on? Definitely yes. Β° As the old saying goes, 'you are not defined by your experiences, but how you deal with them'. Acceptance and forgiveness are two of the most powerful tools you have access to. Liberation is on the other side of kindness. For every weakness is a strength. From every mistake is a lesson. The victim card will only hold you back. A bunch of clichΓ©s, but ultimately they're all true so let's not get hung up on the incidentals πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€ Β° Happy hump day, with love ❀️ . . . . . .

Have you ever heard of PMDD (pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder)? 1 in 20 women suffer with it, but many are undiagnosed. Whilst often brushed under the carpet as 'bad PMS', PMDD is a serious, medical condition that causes women to suffer with intense depression symptoms between ovulation and menstruation. From rage and sadness, anxiety to suicidal thoughts, PMDD is incurable, although there are treatments to help minimise the symptoms, such as SSRIs, hormonal contraception and CBT (apparently). Why isn't this taught in school? How comes it's not being talked about everywhere? Β° Imagine having all your zest for life, your happiness and pleasure dulled out and replaced with indifference, sadness, a complete lack of motivation, for two weeks of every single month, on repeat, for your whole life (until you reach menopause). Imagine having all your pain and sadness reduced down to, "you must be due on your period". Imagine your GP telling you that you might just have to 'live' with it - survival becomes impossible. Β° I've been in the throes of my PMDD for two weeks now and I'm tired of it. I'm mentally and physically exhausted. I'm really tired of trying to rationalise my suicidal thoughts with "but it's just your hormones". Every time I go to the toilet, I check for blood, praying it's over soon. Its not over. I walk the streets like a ghost and yet somehow I've still got a smile for everybody. My breasts and body ache and I am so swollen. I feel done. Β° If you have ever wondered if your 'PMS' symptoms are severe, I urge you to investigate and seek diagnosis - at least you can find better ways to manage your pain, or have an understanding of what's happening to you.
