Above the timber line, where the air is fresh and the lakes cold. Even though I have a passion for photographing people in their environment I have to admit that composing barren landscapes is a challenge I’m always looking for. It’s what brought me to photography.
Looking back on some of my favourite moments of this year, this one is high up. It reminds me that it’s always a matter of perspective. Rain could have kept us inside but we did the opposite and welcomed it with open arms. We got to create solid memories.. and make a few photos📸
I love photography but seeing a film project through is one of the most fulfilling things on earth. Finally able to share this short we made for @jaegerlecoultre earlier this year. I would go back diving in that blue crater any day, still can’t believe that’s in Utah! Oh and the BTS comes out tomorrow on YouTube. #JLCPolaris #FRR @jaygullion
Will hard at work during the filming of my summer photo workshop down in Mexico. The upside of working in really hot places Is that you have a good excuse to take a break every hour or so to “cool down”🤙 PS. If you want to see how I shot this entire Mexico series, check the link in my profile for the whole class!
I had forgot how pretty this corner of the world is.. Back in Quebec after 5 years and it feels like coming back to the roots. When I came here to study graphic design in 2009 these forests inspired me to drop from college to (try to) pursue photography full time.. forever thankful!
Dawn patrol in the Italian Alps working with @canonusa. There are two times in the day -before sunrise and after sunset- when light is faint enough that you see someone’s headlamp beam but still can shoot handheld. I love this time of day because it feels pretty dreamy, the environment is barely visible but there is insane light in the sky most of the time! Shot this frame about 15mn before sunrise on the EOS 6D Mark II and the Canon 24mm 1.4 II L. Which is my usual setup for more remote trips.
