Great day for a run and some stretching! • While this weekend is action packed, i loved how i was able to sleep in, go for a run, do some yoga and grab brunch with my boys. Really love the little moments in life and have grown to appreciate them. I also love getting back into a routine after being away on vacation. Now off to do a video shoot! 🙃 Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend yourself my friends!

I have yet to master taking good photos with my phone😬, but I recorded what I ate this week so that I would hold myself accountable.📝 . I can’t eat before I work out so my first meal is around 11am - a mocha protein smoothie. 8oz brewed coffee, 8oz unsweetened almond milk, 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tsp coconut oil, 1/2 frozen banana, handful of spinach leaves, 1 serving of organic organic protein powder (in chocolate) and lots of ice. So refreshing after a workout!! . Lunch is usually leftover dinner from the night before because it’s quick and I have three kids to take care of at the same time haha. I try to eat between 2/3pm. . Dinner is at 6pm and I’ve been making meals from @skinnytaste and they are delicious!! I like how they tell you the portion size, calories and even set you up with a weekly meal plan and shopping list every week which is really a life saver when you have limited time and arms full of kiddos. Oh, and it’s free. This is not an ad, it just works for me.😉 . Dinners were (clockwise): chicken sausage and broccoli pasta (I used barilla whole grain plus protein pasta), spicy grilled salmon with corn, black beans and I added an avocado/tomato/radish salsa, Greek turkey meatballs with tzatziki and sliced tomatoes, spice rubbed pork loin with steamed cauliflower and sliced tomatoes (tis the season🍅), and Asian ground beef stir fry with steamed broccoli and brown rice. . Truth be told - I was really good at sticking to my meal plan but I did have one ice cream sandwich mid week, which I very much enjoyed!🍦😍 . Also, I’m on my second week of no alcohol which is extremely hard when you are a full time mom haha, and although my scale has not budged, my pants are loose and that means something’s working!! . Now to hit the grocery store for next weeks meals...🥕🍌🥑🍆🍉 . . . motivation

Today was a very significant day...it’s the first day I’ve realized that both my left and right side are equal in strength/endurance. This has taken me roughly 6 months to make happen, before that my right side could do more weight and more reps - something I’m sure many of you can relate to! My advice is focus on as much single sided movements as possible, always start with the weaker side, and only match the reps done by your weaker side with your good side. Don’t get discouraged as these things do take time to fix, think about how long it took for the imbalance to happen in the first place, it will probably be half the time if not longer - I hope this helps!
