I used to measure EVERYTHING. 🖐️ My calories. My ounces. My worth. All by the rise and fall of how strict I could be with my food. I knew it wasn't how I wanted to live the rest of my life. * The truth is, I WANTED to make food my friend. ❤️ I didn't WANT to think about food the way I did but I hadn't been shown anything different. * For years, my mom would criticize her body in front of the mirror with me within ears reach. And her voice became mine. * And all of this created an inner critic that was never happy with herself. And every time I'd lose the weight that I felt was holding me back, my unhealthy mindset would creep back in and I'd gain it all back. * Thankfully, something changed when I realized the shift needed to come from within and I needed to focus on my MINDSET. I knew how to exercise and had been doing that for years but it was my nutrition {**which is 80% of results} that continued to hold me back from reaching my potential. * Once I learned the 2 bunnies (4 PRINCIPLES around food and weight loss) I FINALLY felt like I found FREEDOM. * I had discovered a formula that worked for me. It wasn’t a new diet — it was a new MINDSET. And once I embraced it, I didn't feel like I had to control EVERYTHING but instead I could listen to my body. * You know what might be the most amazing part? * I was able to FINALLY feel GOOD about FOOD which allowed me to maintain that weight loss, without denying myself (see me with the cookie 🍪 !) or telling myself “no” all the time. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I always felt FULL and SATISFIED. I never deprived myself. And I never MISSED A MEAL... * I just relied on these simple principles that allowed me to lose weight while still living my life {**without all the guilt and self-sabotage}. * Because that’s everyone’s ultimate goal, right?
