THE FIRST CALL FROM THE WHITE HOUSE It was late at night on the 1st of August 2016, just 3 days before we celebrated President Obama’s birthday (He was the sitting president then). I was out with my friends for dinner in Washington DC. I received a call from ‘unknown' number, I said "Hello” Caller: “This is xxxx from the White House - Secret service, Am I speaking with Charles Lipenga? ...” Ummmh, for a moment I was not sure if I was me. I know some of you get it. Lol. It was a trembling moment, not with fear but too much awesomeness; thinking of where I come from, such dreams are far-fetched. I remember my friends and I almost broke the restaurant tables after that call; we went crazy. Lol THE BACKGROUND - FEATURING PRESIDENT OBAMA IN A SONG. While in the USA for , I met a number of amazing and crazy and people like me; we became friends, formed a music group and now we are family; a few weeks later, we composed and recorded one song that was nominated to open and close for President Obama's speech at the Presidential Summit in Washington DC. THE GROUP comprised of the amazing; 01 - Slyvester Sede (Artist) - 02 - Sophie Ranaivoharisoa (Artist) - 03 – Kellee Miller (Artist) - 04 - José-Landry Guehi (Artist) – Cote d'Ivoire 05 - Thamsanqa @krtcofhiphop (Artist) 06 – Sandiso Zama Sibisi – (Public Relations) 07 - The late Shohdi AlHag (Media Director) - 08 - Charles Lipenga (Music Producer) - SECRET SERVICE’S BUSINESS Now the matter at hand; in the song, I took the bold step of featuring the voice of the President of the USA, the team & the secret service liked the song but took it seriously, they had to vet the song and every one of us; they had to set up listening sessions and meetings, they asked for meanings and translations of any word that wasn’t in English. It was not a joke but we did all they asked and it was worth it. LESSON: DON’T GIVE UP; KEEP CREATING. Is nobody paying attention to your craft? KEEP CREATING, KEEP GETTING BETTER AT IT; your time will come, and the world will pay to watch your craft. ALL THE BEST #TeamMaestros

"Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Nathanael asked. "Come and see " - 1775392858767716331

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO (Part 3) "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Nathanael asked. "Come and see for yourself," answered Philip. (Ref John 1:46) DEFEAT THE SPIRIT OF SELF-DOUBT AND SELF-PITY. Like a number people I know, I also grew up with a mentality of a victim, I wanted… actually, I needed the world to feel sorry for me. As a kid I was mocked for my challenges; for not knowing my father who passed when I was pretty young, for learning under a tree and calling it a school, for stammering, for visual impairment, for being left handed, I was labeled clumsy etc, Perhaps now things are different, but as a kid these ridiculing insults were all I could think of, how different and lacking I was. CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO. I was born in Malawi; a nation ranked among the poorest, I needed the world to pity me, give me a break, but as I grew older I realized Greatness does not come from a position of a victim. Success does not gravitate towards you because of your sorry/ pitiful condition. Success gravitates towards people with ideas and willing to boldly execute them into solutions. I realized that YOU CAN SUCCEED EVEN IF NOBODY BELIEVES IN YOU, BUT YOU CAN’T SUCCEED IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. YOUR TURN: BE YOUR OWN HERO It is time you decide to suit up and defy the odds, challenge the status quo. I want you to work on developing yourself, I want you to develop systems/ institutions/ companies that will change the norm and uplift others. Don’t settle for less, don’t enjoy being labeled as average. I want you all to take this statement and make it personal, post it or print it if you have to. "Can anything good come from __________?" (Put the name of your village/ city/ country) YES, ________ (your full name/ your organization)! Come and see for yourself.(Share a link to your work #TeamMaestros

Most of us are not where we were meant to be because we are car" at Heathrow Airport - 1774607965414663666

BE YOUR OWN HERO | UK chapter (02 June - 02 July 2018) Most of us are not where we were meant to be because we are carrying unnecessary weight. We were so hurt and we are still holding on grudges, anger, resentments, frustrations, and disappointments. Some of us keep second guessing ourselves because we made mistakes or failed before and We now believe that we are not good enough. - NONSENSE. Hold yourself back, or heal yourself back together. You decide. HOW SPECIAL IS YOUR OFFENCE? How big are the challenges that you want to give up on your dreams? Do you think the greats had it any easy? 01. Sometimes we forget that was a murderer who ran from getting justice. He had a stammering tongue. He was afraid and could get angry too just like anyone else. 02. We forget was "not good enough" to be even considered by his own parents when the prophet came to anoint one as the next King of Israel. The same David, who was the chosen one became the most wanted and was hunted like a criminal. 03. We sometimes forget was sold by his own brothers, became a slave in a foreign land, wrongly accused and imprisoned while he had already received dreams from God of becoming the saviour of his family. HOW SPECIAL IS YOUR OFFENCE. IT IS TIME TO SUIT UP. Let NOTHING hold you down from moving forward. WHAT If no one is coming to apologise or make amends, Hold yourself back, or heal yourself back together. You decide. BE YOUR OWN HERO. IT IS TIME TO FORGIVE, LET GO AND MOVE FORWARD. GOD WANTS TO MAKE YOU A BLESSING in that same ENVIRONMENT and to the same PEOPLE you are trying run from. #TeamMaestros

BE YOUR OWN HERO - UK chapter (2 June - 2 July, 2018) IT'S YOUR SET TIME , , & . - What if no one is coming to discover your hidden talents, - What if no one is coming to acknowledge your hard work or untapped potential. - What if no family member is coming to help you rise. - What if God intended you to help raise your family and the world around you? - What if that's why things don't seem to work out for you? Because you are still waiting for someone's help when You are the HELP that you and your world was waiting for? more young people become radical with their faith. We need more young people to believe in achieving the "crazy dreams." WITHOUT (AIMING AT) A GOAL YOU CAN'T SCORE, ITS THAT SIMPLE TALK - Most of us say, "I believe in God, I trust him fully," But why do we only make plans depending on our present limited physical abilities? ITS TIME TO PART YOUR RED SEA. Allow God to intervene in your dreams, dreams for you and your people. If you need to score, Give your Goals to God. Dream to a point you even know, "GOD has to show up for me here." LET'S DO THIS #TeamMaestros

On a daily basis I manage to read, write, eat, learn, pray, build, design, inspect and" - 1765240442009325141

MY 3 STEPS TIME MANAGEMENT PLAN: On a daily basis I manage to read, write, eat, learn, pray, build, design, inspect and breathe. I have been requested to share my principles of “Time management.” First of all; I believe planning your day creates motivation, secondly, it gives you a great opportunity to have a great day and most importantly it is a great way to prioritize your life. That being said, I believe your day must at least cover 5 KEYS AREAS IN PLANNING A PRODUCTIVE DAY 1. Fixed appointments 2. High-value activities 3. Healthy Breaks 4. Building Networks & Relationships 5. Learning & New Eventualities I also believe THE DNA OF YOUR SUCCESS IS HIDDEN IN YOUR ROUTINE. DESIGNING YOUR PRODUCTIVE ROUTINE Managing your time needs to become a ritual. Not simply a list or a vague sense of your priorities. That’s not consistent or deliberate. It needs to be an ongoing process you follow no matter what to keep us focused on our priorities throughout the day. Here is what you can and must at least do on a daily basis; it will just take an average of 15mins in your 24 hours (1440 minutes). STEP 1 (5 Minutes) Set Plan for Day. Before turning on your phone/ computer, sit down with a blank piece of paper and decide what will make this day highly successful. STEP 2 (1 minute every hour) Refocus. Set your watch, phone, or computer to ring every hour. When it rings, take a deep breath, look at your list and ask yourself if you spent your last hour productively. Here is an average breakdown of a day in my life. STEP 3 (5 minutes) Review. Shut off your phone/ computer and review your day. What worked? Where did you focus? Where did you get distracted? What did you learn that would help you be more productive tomorrow? NEXT LESSON: DESIGNING YOUR DAILY SCHEDULE #TeamMaestros
