Take five when receiving emails and texts, consider if they may be finance fraud! 'Take Five To Stop Fraud Week' is part of the national campaign from Financial Fraud Action UK and the UK Government, backed by the banking industry coming together to tackle fraud. STOP AND THINK 1 - Requests to move money: A genuine bank or organisation will never contact you out of the blue to ask for your PIN, full password or to move money to another account. Only give out your personal or financial details to use a service that you have given your consent to, that you trust and that you are expecting to be contacted by. 2 - Clicking on links/files: Don’t be tricked into giving a fraudster access to your personal or financial details. Never automatically click on a link in an unexpected email or text. 3 - Personal information: Always question uninvited approaches in case it’s a scam. Instead, contact the company directly using a known email or phone number. week

*TAKE FIVE TO STOP FRAUD WEEK* This morning I travelled all the way from London to @intulakeside Shopping Centre in West Thurrock to support the Yellow Sofa Roadshow organised by Take Five (https://takefive-stopfraud.org.uk) for their Week I have already mentioned them before because I attended another Take Five event last month. I learnt so much about avoiding fraud that day. Just in case you don't remember, Take Five is a national awareness campaign led by FFA UK (part of UK Finance), backed by Her Majesty’s Government and delivered with and through a range of partners in the UK. The roadshow gives the public the opportunity to chat directly with Tony Blake, Senior Fraud Prevention, who is an expert in the matter. During the day, he was giving fantastic advice as well as valuable tips to anybody who approached the Take Five Yellow Roadshow Sofa. I thought this was fantastic and I felt very proud to be able to support this amazing campaign. Nowadays it is so easy to be scammed if you’re not careful. Fraudsters use so many novelty ways to scam people which is crazy. That is why Take Five has taken the time to create a website where you can all find all the information needed to hopefully be able to spot and therefore avoid any type of fraud. You should go and browse their website and read all their advice. The Yellow Sofa Roadshow will be visiting cities including Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow this week, hoping to spread the message. If we can all help them with this campaign and Take Five to Tell Five we will be able to reach even more people. It was lovely to spend the morning with some lovely bloggers too! ☺️ Have you been a victim of a scam before? If so, what was your experience?

Taking Five... I’ve been at @intulakeside shopping centre today with some lovely mummy bloggers and the Take Five team. I’m working with them this week to help raise awareness of the current scams and fraudulent approaches that can affect us all. We joined the Big Yellow Sofa roadshow and chatted to Tony Blake, Senior Fraud Prevention Officer, who gave us some good tips on how to avoid scams. There are some top tips on my Insta stories and I’ll be sharing more this week, but the main thing I took away from today was to always minutes to think when someone asks for my personal information and to remember ‘my money, my info, I don’t think so’!! Have you ever been scammed, or been close to? How many of you get text messages or emails asking for your info? Xx week

🛑 Online fraud 🛑 We need to talk about this .... With scams becoming more and more sophisticated we need to be on our guard even more. A few tips ... 1️⃣ Never move your money to a ‘safe’ account after receiving a call telling you to 2️⃣ Never click on links from an unexpected email, even if it appears to be from a trusted source 3️⃣ Always question if someone asks you for personal info - no bank will ask you for your pin etc 4️⃣ Trust your instincts, if it sounds wrong, hang up and call your bank on a trusted number (you’ll find one on the-back of your credit card) 5️⃣ Just and don’t get scammed! ‘Your money, your info, I don’t think so’ 📸 @heyitsromeca Great to see other champions at @intulakeside, all tagged, check their feeds too! week
