💜Lavender 💜Essential Oil by @4elementum 💚 •(Lavendula Angustifolium) has a floral, light, and clear with woody undertones aroma and it’s the most versatile oil used in history. It is relaxing and refreshing that uplifts the spirit and helps to relieve stress. Its analgesic, antiseptic, and antibiotic properties make it great for handling colds, flu and coughs, best way to use it inhalations. This oil is excellent for refreshing tired muscles, feet, and head. It is great when used in burns, cuts, and when scaring is present. Add a few drops on affected area, dilute if necessary. Long known as a giving effective to relief insomnia, put a drop to pillow/sheet and submerse into peaceful sleep. When massaged into the temples, lavender essential oil may help to relieve headaches. As an insect repellent, it will protect clothes, sheets and towels (soak a cotton ball and place in your linen closet). It is great to use in dogs and cats when fleas come around.

The amount of stress my body can handle is finite, regardless of the source of the stress. I had a hard week of training last week, did races on both days this weekend, did too much driving, didn’t get any housekeeping done, have a lot going on at work, and haven’t gotten much sleep. During my ride yesterday I wasn’t able to push for the hard efforts, and during my swim I wasn’t able to take a deep breath or calm my heart rate. This was my body yelling at me. My mental stress was so high from work and life that there wasn’t enough energy left for training stress. I am taking a rest day today, and making sure to get more sleep and a few chores done tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to push during my workouts. #stress
