Sept23: Wow more uni chat sorry about this. I was at @lborouniversity this weekend to interview for this thing called elite athlete pathway which is basically a sports scholarship for junior level athletes who have competed in an Olympic or world championship or have potential to do so in the next 4 years but haven’t got the grades to enter a normal degree dew to sporting commitment. Basically You do a foundation year and can then go onto do any sport based degree after that year and also get great support with your training, transport, accommodation, physio, nutrition ect. A really good bursary and TASS, when I saw this on ucas I was like wow this is literally the best thing ever but theres no way that I could ever get onto that. I showed it to school careers and they where like yeah there’s no way you’ll get that, asked my head to do my reference and she was like ok but your not gonna get this, but it looked to good to give up on so I emailed in myself with my “sporting CV” they emailed back asking for a reference from wales and wcsGBR which I got and sent over they said cool your references show you alredy have the right level in lacrosse by itself coz of worlds this summer and euros recently also next season being seniors helps but also the potential for a games with wcsgb is a big plus if u move into high ranked bands which I’m hoping to do over the 2-3 years so they said do you fancy coming in so we can talk? I said yeh ovs and then today it actually went really really well! Finished with the director of performance sports saying if I could meet grades (BCC) then there would be no reason why I wouldn’t get a place based on my reference, interview and sporting background. So that’s promising and also so unexpected coz I wasn’t confident that I’d stand a chance as Literally everyone on this course are like actually or potential Olympians and I don’t see myself as even close to that. But anyways that’s cool and just shows that you shoud back yourself and go for it even if someone says you won’t get it, showing that sort of attitude in itself can be just as valuable as an A grade. Now I’ve just gotta get these damn grades📖

Can't help but remember words from Asher's book 13reasonswhy: "You don't know what goes on in anyone's life but your own... When you mess with one part of a person's life, you're messing with their entire life. Everything affects everything." . For those who are going through something, i hope they still believe that help is given to those who ask. Have the courage to ask help. 😥 This world is in desperate need of kind people. . . . #stopthestigma 😍

Although I do want to put out positive vibes into the world to “inspire” people to live to the fullest and love life especially those struggling with mental health, grieving a loss of any kind but esp those who have lost someone to suicide...I also want and need to stay true to me. I am not always happy, I am not always strong, I struggle with anxiety/social anxiety/PTSD/depression (yep....that’s me). There have been days on this trip that I wanted to give up, that I’ve cried, had panic attacks and honestly the only reason I didn’t book a flight back was because the task of booking a plane ticket seemed like too much work. I don’t thrive in hostels - it takes a lot of mental preparation for me just to walk into the kitchen and even go to shared bathroom down the hall. But being in hotels all the time is way too lonely and honestly most of my best memories and now some of my best friends for life I’ve met in hostels. However, when they weren’t around or I didn’t connect with anyone, some days I didn’t eat, take showers (for several days), or talk to anyone because of my anxiety. . . Social media shows people at their best, nobody wants everyone to see their struggles. But, I think for people who struggle with mental health (like me), seeing everyone happy and enjoying life all the time makes the bad days seem a lot worse. This trip is wonderful and I do have great memories with a lot of happy posts....but it’ hasn’t always been easy, I’ve struggled.....I’m struggling now......I’m tired, frustrated, lonely, mentally and physically exhausted....So, today, I am just going to do the best I can, even if that means spending one of my last days in a hotel watching tv and taking a long hot bath. (I need out of this hostel!!!). I’m doing the best I can....and that’s all I need to do. . . So today, if you feel like crying...cry, if you feel sad..be sad, if you want to scream...scream (screaming really works by the way). It’s okay to have bad days. Just do what you can today - there is nothing wrong with allowing yourself to feel how you really feel. . . #stopthestigma

Every year on facebook you get memories the good the bad , i was in refuge with 4 children my youngest was 3 my daughter had her 6th birthday intheir i bought her 2 gold fish to brighten our room ,we had nothing 🤔💪🙏❤but each other we were alive we had my jaurney of recovery with my had just begun i never new what was instore for me 😯😢or how hard or long it was going to take 3 years on the pain is still hard to handle 🤯🤬🤢🤮🤫 #stopthestigma dont let no1 tell you you cant 💪🙏😉thats why ive set up my charity ,healing hearts healing hands and dreams🤲 to help other familys like mine if i can and give hope to just 1 family and make a difference all the and bad days will be worth it just to see them smile 😁😉and be happy and free ❤🙏🤞💪❤🌠

Comparing yourself to others will steal your happiness. There will always be someone ‘skinnier,curvier,prettier,richer,more successful’ than you in your opinion!! But that’s what it is, it’s YOUR opinion! Puppies are cute and so are rainbows and they look nothing alike!! Just because someone is beautiful,doesn’t make you any less beautiful. If you keep comparing yourself to everyone you meet,you will end up constantly miserable! Whether you thought you’d have children or be married by a certain age like your high school friend or have your first house. Life can’t be planned out like that. Find what makes you happy at this moment in time,life isn’t a rush or a competition. Social media doesn’t help us in these situations. Try remember that no one will post their own flaws or what they are missing for the world to see 💜 #stopthestigma
