Credit > @travel_inhershoes ・・・ Where you would rather be right now? 💦#SeePuertoRico :::::: It’s almost hard to believe this beautiful island experienced such a dramatic hurricane not too long ago. Hurricane Maria was the worst natural disaster on record to affect Puerto Rico — and while almost a year later there are quite a few businesses closed and some people still don’t have power(!) the island is more than ready to welcome tourists. :::::: Sooooo ☺️ if you are still unsure where to go for your next holiday please keep Puerto Rico in mind (US citizens don’t need a passport to visit) — tourism and good people is what this Caribbean island needs right now 🥥💦☀️ :::::: I’ve teamed up with @seepuertorico to show you the best spots on the islands — more on stories! :::::: 🇵🇷

Where in Old San Juan you should watch the 2018 World Cup games should not even be a question. The challenge is going to be in deciding choosing our delicious Steak Fortaleza and the many other fantastic meals on our menu! . Barrachina remains the favorite restaurant of both locals and tourists after almost 60 years with good reason. We offer a range of Spanish, Puerto Rican and international favorites that begin at 7am with breakfast and sandwiches from our deli on the 2nd floor and includes something delicious for everyone through lunch and dinner in our main dining area. And remember that only at the birthplace of the Piña Colada will you find this frosty drink crafted to its ultimate perfection. Our multipurpose rooms can accommodate up to 120 guests for business events, parties and weddings, all fully supported by our kitchen and bar. Call 787-725-7912 for reservations, then come to 104 Calle Fortaleza in Old San Juan for an experience to remember. . . . . #seepuertorico

Here's to protecting places that are beautiful and unique. Found in the jungle of Puerto Rico. It's interesting how things work. A friend of a friend (who is now a friend) let me stay with him at his place over 1 year ago. While there, I was talking about helping him power his house with solar power. He already used little, he lived simply and seemed to really enjoy how he lived. When hurricane Maria came through, his simple house was simply gone. All that was left was the foundation. He is rebuilding everything now. I have plans (after he has rebuilt the house) to come in and bring solar power to the area and install some electricity that he can use. Eventually, he could even parse out this to neighbors and create an independent grid that is sustainable and more reliable. Stay tuned. Thank you, Waldemar for taking me in, let's continue to plan out this event.
