Everybody's healthy looks different. And I am SO happy that there has been a movement towards fit and not thin. πŸ™Œ I have always had big legs, broad shoulders, thick arms... That is just how God made me. πŸ˜‡ I use to look at pictures of myself and be self conscious if my arms looked big because of the camera angle or being pressed against my side.... Ladies, you know what I am talking about (that is why we put our hands on our hips for pics!). 🀳 But my little fitness family has taught me to embrace healthy and not thin. Realizing that I can't change my genetics... But I can enhance my body and mindset by living for my health... Not a dress size. πŸ’ƒ It you need that shift in mindset... They are always watching. How you treat yourself effects your kids. They will see what you do and take after that. So if you talk negatively about yourself, they probably will talk negatively about themselves. If you work on your confidence, they will grow up seeing that confidence is important. If you take care of your body by working out and eating healthy, so will they. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some ice cream and chocolate, but I'm learning how to fuel my body for success. And I'm NOT depriving myself. And this workout? It was short. And it felt GREAT. So when he is able to run around, he will know that it is important to your health and not second guess it. THIS MAY GET LONG: Well, last night I did something I swore I’d never do. I let my baby sleep in the bed with us... all night πŸŒ™ Wednesday we traveled 8 hours. When we got to where we were going, Little Man met lots of new people and new dogs. He roamed around a new house with new smells and new sights. When it was bedtime, he went to a different room and slept in someone else’s Pack n Play. You guys, our little guy that normally hits his crib and is out all night, was up FIVE TIMES!!! 😫 When last night came, my hubby and baby fell asleep around 7 PM in the bed. When I decided to go to sleep, I asked my husband if Little Man was staying and he said something along the lines of β€œI guess.” This was something I swore up and down I’d never do, but in that moment, we felt like that’s what was best for our little guy. Moral of the story... Moms, we all struggle at times. Sometimes we may do something others think is absurd. We may look at another mom and swear up and down we’d NEVER do what she did/does, but at the end of the day, we are all doing what we feel is best for our most prized possession. We may not always agree, but we are doing our best ❀️

Took a little break to consult with a nutritionist, as I have been hovering back and forth at the same weight for over a month. I've spoken about it before. Everyone keeps saying the same thing....... "Until I hit around the 6 month Postpartum/breastfeeding mark", the weight more than likely isn't going anywhere, due to hormones as well as my body wanting to hold onto my fat reserves for production. I know more than my fair share of information on caloric intake vs output, macro counting, etc...... Nothing is helping, not even hitting the gym 4-5x a week. SO!! I Have learned to accept it for now. I will still be eating healthy, but no longer counting cals, or points, just focusing on eating the most nutritious foods, high protein................ And focusing more of the fitness aspect of this journey. I will no longer be doing weigh ins, until I hit the 6 month mark and introduce solids to my baby girl. Every weigh in Saturday, I will stay motivated by posting NSV. This was a recommendation from my nutritionist. Thank you for taking the time to read. #postpartumfitness
