Repost @emilymcd_art ・・・ Curves of the Spine. Drawn in @Procreate on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. Labelled in Adobe Illustrator. In my first draft my curvature was a bit too extreme, poor chap, but I’ve fixed him up now. 💀 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ #physiology

BUILD MUSCLE By @apfau 💪🏼. - One of the more popular questions I have gotten over the last two days is what push, pull, and legs actually means. Push muscles include your chest, triceps, and front delts whereas pull muscles include your back, biceps, and rear delts. I think legs is self explanatory but just to be safe, legs include quads, glutes/hamstrings, and calves. It’s always helpful to understand which muscles are supposed to be worked during your exercises to help get that mind muscle connection. These aren’t the only exercises that fit into each of these categories but just a few examples to give you an idea. - #physiology

Cranial Nerves 101 - Cranial Nerve IV - Trochlear Nerve The fourth cranial nerve which is the Trochlear Nerve. It is another nerve that is related to the eye It has a somatic motor function, which means that it controls the movement of muscles. - - The muscle that the trochlear nerve innervates is the superior oblique. It's a muscle of the eye that is situated closer to the nose and abducts, depresses and internally rotates the eye. - - The trochlear nerve is the only cranial nerve to exit from the posterior midbrain. This nerve is the shortest of all of the cranial nerves and has the smallest amount of axons, but it has the longest intracranial course! - - If this nerve is damaged, it can cause diplopia (which means double vision). . . . . . #physiology

The answers are in on the question I posted previously, so new types of content will be rolling out along with what I normally post. Bicep development seems to be a common issue for most people, including myself, meaning they need to be trained a little differently. In this video, I am adding an isometric hold between concentric and eccentric movements to increase time under tension(TUT). An increase in TUT will put an unusually high load on the muscle forcing better development and thus leading to size gains as well as a little strength. It boils down to changing and increasing intensity of the exercise when a plateau comes about. Examples of changes can be made by: Overall rep count Overall set count (Essentially an increase in overall volume) Increasing TUT Variable range of motion (ROM) Contraction speed Rest time And so much more. Make every workout unique by changes factors such as these as well as a healthy diet and rest. Treat your body well and you’ll get the returns you deserve for the hard work you put in - - - - - - #physiology
