Just being thinking no one plays the ‘Tramp in a Suit’ better than these two folks. For twenty years being rocking the black and navy suits well😆 and making Charlie Chaplin envious, Beanie MAC (RIP) 😂 maybe Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer. Could easily get the roles of Didi @jeanpierredurrant (Vladimir) and equal partner/friend Gogo (Estragon) myself [debates and mimics]. Yeah being two millenniums (Rev 22:12) and here we are going strong “Waiting for Godot.” #philosophyofreligion

The word "sankhara" is an important term in Buddhist epistemology, the branch of philosophy concerned with how we come to know the world. But a lot of meditators and practitioners have difficulty undertanding the term when translated into English. In his column David Dale Holmes looks at how the traditional translation of the word "sankhara" as “formations” or “volitional formations” can lead to misunderstandings as it calls to mind Platonic conceptions of phenomena as absolute entities, rather the Buddhist conception of phenomena as a constant becoming and ceasing. In Giorgio Agamben's "Profanations," he describes religion in the same way as desire in that both are essentially about separation; the sacred reserves for the gods in special unavailability in the same way that desire is constituted of the special unavailability of the other, even the self as other. "To love another being means... to desire the desire with which it desires to preserve in its being." Profanation, or the act of profaning, means to return to common use, to mend the gap of desire, and, Agamben says, is the ethical task inherent to play. Of course, desire is impossible to properly fulfill because the other cannot ever be subsumed or sublated; and Being withdraws from explanation, rendering the separation of religion eternal. Yet to profane, to play, looks a bit like love, lest separation have the last laugh. . . . DM me if you're interested in seeing the uncensored version! ❤ . . . ofreligion
