¿Sabías que trabajar más de las 8 horas diarias es malo para el corazón? Según un reciente estudio europeo, tener este hábito aumenta el riesgo de padecer enfermedades coronarias. En el análisis, se estudiaron a más de 6000 trabajadores en Londres durante aproximadamente 11 años. El estudio se hizo entre mujeres y hombres de edad promedio de 39 a 61 años. La sorpresa fue encontrar que el riesgo de enfermedad coronaria (del corazón) era hasta 60% mayor en personas que trabajan de 3 a 4 horas más de las acostumbradas 7 a 8 horas de trabajo diario. A pesar de esto, se demostró que trabajar de 1 a 2 horas más al día no causa un riesgo mayor. Y tú... ¿cuántas horas al día trabajas? life

A @collisioni get together in NYC! I wanted to take formal wine notes...but the conversation took over. So here are some "less than formal" ones: 2014 Rauten G. Salvetta Nosiola delle Dolomiti Vigneti delle Dolomiti - earthy, ripe citrus, apple skins and yellow apples in the mid. good grip - lovely textures. 2010 Element Riesling - Thanks to Icy Liu for the bottle! quite developed - showing petrol and hints of orange notes, ripe pear, pineapple, good mid with a hint of sweetness and a ripe peach and tropical fruit. perhaps missing a bit of zest and zing but quite lovely. 2002 Weingut Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese * - this has been in my cellar since release. A beauty - ripe and bright fruit, still quite young and showing lots of primary peach and apple notes, but the mid has hints of lemon curd showing the early maturity, the acidity is bright, cutting through the ripe autumnal fruit and leading to a long, zesty finish... everything i would want from a 2002 Mosel Riesling. 2015 Sandrone Valmaggiore Nebbiolo - strawberry, raspberry and plum notes, ripe lush fruit with a beautifully rustic and powerful mid palate. chewy, obviously young, but quite impressive in its openness and approach. 1985 Laurel Glenn Sonoma Mountain Cab Sav: WOW, Brent Clayton - this is insane! powerful black fruit, showing amazingly young in its approach, ripe to the core but so well balanced by the sweet herbs and ripe cherry tones. Still has structure and grip, though clearly showing development - the wine was trully stunning tonight. 2006 Carlisle Winery and Vineyards Montafi Ranch: Wouldn't be a dinner at this house without one. Actually, this time it was not my fault - Eric R. wanted to try an aged example... and this one was a perfect Zin to open. Stunner - ripe plum and zin-berry notes, high toned, bright red fruit mixing with the darker plum and blackberry, rich and powerful but with the acidity to keep the giant of a wine fresh and begging for another sip. #nyclife
