Movie Name : A Quiet Place . “One of most inventive and beautifully crafted horror survival you will ever see. A Quiet Place’s opening scene is masterpiece at its own however rest of movie doesn’t falters. From Impeccable performances to skilled filmmaking A Quiet Place is a all-rounder, a gem for its genre.” . SharpRatings: 9 – Amazing . Truly amazing horror film, is mix bag that keeps on giving on good sweets one after another. Based in a post apocalyptic world, haunted by mysterious creatures that respond deadly to any kind of sound. A Quiet Place focuses a family and how they survive in the silence. I never saw the trailer, went in the movie without it that is something im doing more often this year and I have to say it helps me understand and love movie better. I don’t prejudge or have seen good scenes in trailer. who directs and acts in the movie too, is the gem here as both roles. He may not have the best chemistry scenes with his on and off screen wife in the movie but Krasinski knows his cast, his surrounding and the script. He keeps the audience's attention from start to grand finale. The whole film keeps you tense but also allows for moments of laughter and tears. It's shot exceptionally, and there's really nothing to complain about directorially. The silence is portrayed through score and photography both. The film is almost entirely shot without verbalized words, but even without speaking, the characters are able to connect and communicate their devotion to one another through something as simple as eye contact, which is often taken for granted in film. Silence is often unnerving and its use in the horror genre is relatively pervasive, but to take the suspense of silence and extend it to something feature-length. The creativity and the guts to commit to something so risky really paid off. The score is chilling it is very similar to one used in . There is very limited dialogue, the one that comes on screen then makes it more deeper because these characters cannot talk normally, they communicate using sign language. -CONTINTUED IN COMMENTS

What’s up folks. There are a number of exciting things happening at Odd Dog Coffee. We’ll be offering coffee via Amazon Prime shortly. We are scoping out where we would set shop roots. Something else I’m considerably excited about is our inaugural blog. . . Meet Dewey O’Neil. In addition to being my college roommate and very best friend, for the last 17 years (17, that’s insane) we have shared a common passion for writing. Dewey has a real talent, and about 1,000,000 DVDs that he blows every paycheck on. Obviously, he’s a film buff. . . We are musing on multiple angles, and authors, the first of which is Dewey’s “Movies that Meant Something”. Please visit our site (link in bio) and give it a read. Should you feel so inclined, please give me feedback. Please comment. Give this guy some encouragement for gods sake. It might entice one of the other good guys like @whupth to make a celebrity appearance. Thanks all -Mike . . critic

If you haven’t been watching Shades Of Blue starring Jennifer Lopez, you must be living under a rock! This is another favorite show of mine that is simply put, GANGSTER as hell. JLO plays as New York detective Harlee Santos, a single mother who runs with a small gang of crooked cops, making extra money from bribes and other illegal activities, all so she can provide a better future for her daughter. Harlee eventually gets caught, and she ends up being an informant for her team. Jennifer gives a phenomenal performance, as well as Ray Liotta, who is a straight bad ass who doesn’t take shit from nobody. I love the New York feel in this gritty cop drama. Every actor complements each other perfectly and each episode will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more. Shades Of Blue premiered January 2016 on NBC, and it’s currently in its third season. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one so binge watch this show IMMEDIATELY! Shades of Blue comes on Sunday nights at 10pm on NBC. The show gets 10 out of 10 strips of bacon 🥓 🥓 🥓 🥓 🥓. I always rate everything with bacon! Remember you heard it here first. Don’t forget to follow and comment if you like any of my recommendations!! 😁 critic

Today’s Vu on MyVu comes from @G_reelz! Here’s their review of : I watched this again last night for what is probably the one millioneth time & once again it dug deep down into my core. Based on the novel written by Stephen Chbosky, the film is about 15-year-old Charlie (Logan Lerman), an endearing and naive outsider, coping with first love, the suicide of his best friend, and his own mental illness while struggling to find a group of people with whom he belongs. The introvert freshman is taken under the wings of two seniors, Sam (Emma Watson)!and Patrick (Ezra Miller), who welcome him to the real world. . . So why does this film speak to me? Even at 33 I can remember that uncertain feeling about being a freshman in high school & making friends. I did drama as an extracurricular & through that the seniors in that class kind of tool is newbies under their wing. By the end of that first school year, I remember being scared because they were moving away and moving on while I was still going to be in this crazy world of high school. From that aspect, I can totally identify with Charlie and instantly connect with him. I didn't suffer from the other issues he suffered with but their is a honesty in the film through the writing & performances that connects you to it on a very real level. Not ashamed to admit that I tear up a few times whenever I watch the movie & I think it's one of the best coming oh age stories ever made and gets better and better with each viewing.
