What does being “healthy” mean to you?🥒🍓 Many people have different view on what “health” means to them. Some believe that being “healthy” means you must only eat grass fed🥩, organic, whole food from the earth.🌎 - Others believe that being “healthy” means to count every single macronutrient, only hit a specific amount of calories per day and exercise 5-6 times a week.🏋🏼‍♂️🥑 - Do you want the answer on what it means to be “healthy”?.🥦 - Well, it depends. - Sorry… not sorry? - It truly does depend on what your values and your goals are. ✨ - Do your values lie in eating 100% nutrient dense natural food that has zero processing? Because that is what you truly believe in? That is amazing. Do it. - Or do believe that there is a good balance of both and you want to incorporate 80%-90% of nutrient dense food because you know that it may benefit your health and fitness performance? You also are not restricting yourself when you eating the odd “bad” food here and there? Thats also amazing, do that!👊🏼 - Guess what, you can get “fat” (I hate using that word. But, you can gain body fat) by eating TOO much whole, natural, organic food. Which may not be “healthy”. - Another not-so “healthy” thing…you may be depriving your body of the nutrients it is asking for by not being aware of how much processed calorically dense food you are consuming. 🍟🍕🍫🍩 - If you consider yourself an athelete, depending on how your body responds to high calorie processed food, you may be limiting yourself for optimal performance.⛹🏽‍♀️🏋🏼‍♂️ - Remember that when discussing nutrition with people, to separate your own personal values and recognize where the other is coming from. To say “dont eat this or only eat that” is ignorant and very vague. Ask questions and always come from a place of curiosity! ✨. . . . #macros

💬👇🏼I really want to know what you guys do to stay focused on your goals. It doesn’t have to be fitness goals! What do you do to refocus yourself and not give into temptations pulling you away from reaching your goals❓ . I ask this because I totally blew my diet last night😬 . My current macros are: 50 Fat 140 Carbs 190 Protein . This prep is definitely taking a toll on my body, both mentally and physically. But I am absolutely loving the challenge! . Last night I ended up way overeating. There are a couple ways to react to this. . 1️⃣Have that “screw it” attitude, and let that binge roll right over into the next day. . OR . 2️⃣The next day you feel guilty, so you restrict your calories to an extremely low amount, and you do excessive amounts of cardio to make up for it. . OR . 3️⃣You remind yourself of your goals, and why you started in the first place. Then get right back on your same training/diet plan, and execute it to the best of your ability. . That 3rd option is definitely the way to go. Don’t let one mistake keep you from getting where you want to be. . I can promise you that when you’re trying to lose fat/gain muscle or just develop an all around healthier lifestyle there will be setbacks, but your success is dependent on how you react to those setbacks! . Carbs make you fat. Nope. I eat a shit tonne. You need to do cardio. Nope. I hardly do any, besides a walk on the weekend to get coffee. Lifting weights makes you bulky. Nope. It makes you shapely. You need to starve yourself. Nope. I eat so much food. You need to give up your social life. Nope. Went to a bbq last night and heading out to a restaurant for dinner tonight. I’m too busy. Yep. So am I. 3 kids and a business will do that to you. But you can always find time. I don’t know where to start. Yep that’s normal. That was me. Until I learnt the value in learning from other people.
