Whelp this is what has been accomplished in the past 72 hours! I finally hit a few unofficial pr’s in the gym. I consider them unofficial for two reasons: 1) true given day for my squat was supposed to be yesterday after two days of rest 2) the dead lift was supposed to be tomorrow after a day of rest in between For this reason I’m taking a few days off from training so that body has time to recoup and the nervous system (and my left hamstring) rejuvenate 🏋🏼‍♂️ • • • I want to take this time to thank three of my motivators in the gym @marked_man_marcus @clydedexter9 @oanca_ being there both days making sure everything runs smoothly, keeping my knowledgeable, and focused through both lifts 🤙🏼 we are in competition season boys let’s keep it rolling 🤘🏼🤘🏼 • • • #liftbigeatbiggetbig

4x3 at 295lbs and 4 sets of 5 turned into 2 sets of 5 and 2 sets of 8 at 100lbs! Just a month ago I had to work hard to hit 100lbs for a set of 5! I’m getting stronger to say the least and I’m listening to my body! You do the same for fam🏋🏼‍♂️🤘🏼 • • • One thing about the incline dumbbell press (and any dumbbell press) is that it carries over to the bench more significantly than just barbell bench all day. The dumbbell press requires stability muscles to activate and keep the weight aligned without failing technique and with out hurting yourself. Start off slow and do reps of 8-10 before adding weight and doing sets of 3-5. Your body will thank you for taking the time to build proper technique 🤙🏼 • • • #liftbigeatbiggetbig

Yesterday was dead’s on dead’s. 5 sets of 2 have never felt killer especially at 495lbs. Last 2 sets was turned to 4 sets of 1 so volume is there. The subtle messages in songs always help push me to into the overdrive🤘🏼 knowing this is all I have to my legacy 🏋🏼‍♂️ • • • #liftbigeatbiggetbig

Get ready for a few movements! 🤘🏼 after yesterday squat session, I took time to focus on explosive hip action exercises 🏋🏼‍♂️ • • • First movement I took a lightweight band wrapped it around one leg and performed 5 fast twitch raises. This required a lot of balance as the banded leg is coming into a high knee position while the non banded leg balances 💀 I did 3x 10 (5 each side) • • • Next movement was weight bag squat cleans. This was only 40lbs but I really want the focus on glutes and quickness off the draw to be my focus (more so feel like a regular clean). I did 3x5 only because I had to keep my main focus on the box jumps 💥 • • • Finally the 3 foot box jumps! These are always fun, and a little tricky as you can see I’m still wearing my lifters, and anyone who know what they are, can tell you they have a little weight to them as well! Woth the box jump I wanted to make sure the landing was in a squat position so then I had to fire up after I stuck the landing. I did 5x5 for these 💥🤘🏼💥 #liftbigeatbiggetbig

for the double post but had a successful lifting session in enlightening my form and technique 🤘🏼 • • • The front squat is always a fun and different correction to the back squat. The front squat allows one to engage more into the transverse abdominals and puts a different feel of load onto the quads. With that in mind, hitting 405 for 4 sets of 1 being 90% of my front squat, I felt pretty powerful to say the least 🏋🏼‍♂️ • • • #liftbigeatbiggetbig
