7 Days of LBW Mindfulness 6.NLP Anchors I love Anchors, there any many ways to do them and many ways to use them. An anchor is basically a positive trigger you can place by touching, holding or pressing a part of your body whilst you focus on something positive and can be fired off at any time. Today let’s talk about Anchoring your child to your touch and sound. Touching your child in a specific location while saying a certain motivational word is an excellent way to allow your child to associate into the feeling of being praised. For example when you hug your child, try and hug them differently for when they are upset and when they are happy. So to install a positive hugging anchor, hug your child in a specific way, always the same way, repeat the positivity words over and over. Make sure they feel and understand what your saying. For the younger ones you can set a positive anchor when they are laughing. Just grab their arm or shoulder every time they laugh, make sure you do it the same way every time. When they are sad touch them the same way and the feeling of laughter will return. Teach your little ones HOW to think. Not what to think.
