Fluffy and creamy green potion topped with a few pieces of my homemade cacao fudge, a sprinkle of coconut chips, nibs and red berries😍 The smoothie was filled with @nutiva coconut butter and avo, @vivolife vanilla protein, cinnamon, chia seeds, mixed greens, @alchemysuperblends morning elixir. I shared the fudge recipe a few posts back where I topped it with a caramel frosting😋and it’s made with @therawchocolatecompany company cacao butter and powder, cacao paste, cinnamon, lucuma & light carob powders, a bit of sweetness and instead of adding pecans, I mixed in some chopped @thetigernutcompany tiger nuts🤩 The avo and coconut butter gave it such a nice creaminess and fluffiness in texture that I really love. I mean, who doesn’t love avo? And it’s a nice source of potassium among other great nutrients. We often hear of potassium referred to as an electrolyte which  are substances that help conduct electricity in the body. Others are sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus and chloride. The balance between sodium and potassium is important for the body's electrolyte functions and to maintain stable blood pressure levels. It also helps to control the amount of water in the body and maintain a healthy blood pH level but it’s extremely important for the all cells, tissues and organs functions.  For example, it’s needed for skeletal and smooth muscles to contract, for digestive function and to regulate heart rhythm and contractions. 🍯HONEY APPLE SNACK BARS🍯 - 🏃🏻‍♂️Breakfast on the go? These are perfect to grab from the fridge if your in a hurry or just to have as a snack. - 🤓You can multiply the recipe a few times and make a big batch these beauties. The mix will keep in the fridge for up to a week. - ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ - Time: 10-15 minutes total - Difficulty: Easy - Calories: 175 per bar - 35g apple 10g honey 13g oats 10g ground flaxseed 10g protein powder A pinch of cinnamon - Preheat your oven to 190°C/375°F/gas 5. - Grab yourself a mixing bowl, grate your apple into the bowl and then throw in the rest of the ingredients. - Give it a really good mix and add a splash of water if the mix is a little dry. It is ready when the mix is a little sticky. - Line a tin with non-stick paper, press the mix into the tin and whack it in the oven for 10 minutes. - Then allow to cool and put in the fridge for when you need your snack. - ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ - 🍏Apples are a great sauce of vitamin C, and combined with flaxseed, provide you with a healthy dose of dietary fibre. - ☺️Have a great start to your week everyone.☺️ -
