Personal best of 330kg I was quite tired after doing some squats and stuff beforehand along with various other sets, this was my last one and maybe never went as deep as I did wth the previous ones, but then again as it was the heaviest I've went I was a bit paranoid that my leg would snap so didn't want to be in one of they gym fail videos 😂 But I felt it anyway, and it certainly worked as I staggered up afterwards 2 sleeps now until Vietnam/ Thailand, and I'm feeling fit and good to go do me some more travelling 💪🏼 Enjoy your day people #gymlife

♣️ ♠️ Arguably the most basic, yet effective bodyweight exercise. Requires ZERO equipment, can be performed anywhere, help build strength, has a huge number of variations to increase difficulty or target different muscle groups & significantly they are quantifiable so you can always compare to your previous best ▪️ The only problem is, they are often performed incorrectly! Form is absolutely crucial on this exercise, poor form can result in you over-stressing your shoulder joints, primarily your rotator cuffs which is a typical injury point for poor push-up positioning ▫️ One of the main mistakes is that the elbows flare too wide. Imagine you are pushing somebody away. You wouldn’t raise your elbows up to your ears, equally they wouldn’t be pinned to your side. You naturally would push with your arms at a 45 degree angle ▪️ The same exact principles apply for a push up. This is where the greatest amount of force can be produced, activating your chest & preventing shoulder injuries! ▫️ Ensure your body stays tight, maintaining a straight line from head to toe. Squeeze your glutes together & bracing your abs. You don’t want your upper body rising before your legs or vice versa ▪️ Your chest should be the first thing that makes contact with the floor & this should be consistent for every rep. With your arms fully locking out at the top supporting your bodyweight (no half reps) & 90 degrees at the bottom ▫️ In terms of foot placement, it makes no real difference. The wider apart the more stable you will be. But it’s down to preference! ▪️ If you are unable to perform a push up, start by practising the technique against a wall, work up to completing reps on your knees as well as Band assisted push ups. ▫️ 1️⃣ Get into a plank position, hands slightly outside shoulder width at 45 degree angle. Arms fully locked out, glutes clenched & abs braced 2️⃣ Lower yourself down in a controlled manner, body remaining in a tight straight line. Eyes looking slightly in front of you not directly down. Until your arms are at a 90 degree angle. Chest should now be touching the floor! 3️⃣ Slight pause before exploding back up into the start position! Simple but effective 💪🏾

Hallo Fitnessfreunde 🙋 Ich war heute mal auf einen kleinen Besuch im @bodyandsoulalsdorf und konnte vorort zugleich nochmal etwas Gymluft schnuppern 😄 War geil. Spiel ja schon länger mit dem Gedanken wieder im Studio Gas zugeben. Habe mir dann noch einen Proteinriegel gegönnt und es ging wieder nach Hause. Übrigens danke für den Tipp @michael_klos82, der Riegel war wirklich mega lecker. Trainingstechnisch blieb es heute beim nordicwalking, der Muskelkater vom Wochenende knallt mittlerweile richtig. Habt einen starken Tag 💪☺️ - - #gymlife
