Had fun with the little girlies, but time for some me time. Me time is presented to you by my TBR lists! Today's featurette is a book from Emma Watson's chosen reads for her Our Shared Shelf book club! Finally got a copy from my library and I'm so ready to get started! P.S. Thanks for tuning in! 😉 My Life on the Road By: Gloria Steinem Gloria Steinem—writer, activist, organizer, and one of the most inspiring leaders in the world—now tells a story she has never told before, a candid account of how her early years led her to live an on-the-road kind of life, traveling, listening to people, learning, and creating change. She reveals the story of her own growth in tandem with the growth of an ongoing movement for equality. This is the story at the heart of My Life on the Road. #gabookfairy

This book fairy is celebrating World Book Day with this month's @reesesbookclubxhellosunshine book pick! It has been a lovely read thus far, and I can't wait to see where else this journey takes my heart! About the Book Happiness By: Heather Harpham This is not how Heather had imagined new motherhood – alone, heartsick, an unexpectedly solo caretaker of a baby who smelled "like sliced apples and salted pretzels" but might be perilously ill. Brian reappears as Gracie's condition grows dire; together Heather and Brian have to decide what they are willing to risk to ensure their girl sees adulthood. The grace and humor that ripple through Harpham's writing transform the dross of heartbreak and parental fears into a clear-eyed, warm-hearted view of the world. Profoundly moving and subtly written, Happiness radiates in many directions - new, romantic love; gratitude for a beautiful, inscrutable world; deep, abiding friendship; the passion a parent has for a child; and the many unlikely ways to build a family. Ultimately it's a story about love and happiness, in their many crooked configurations. #gabookfairy

Somewhere between Georgia and Maine, he realized that God had been with him every step of the way, and on a famous path through the wilderness, he found his own path to peace and freedom. ibelieveinbookfairies #gabookfairy

It's been a little over a year since I actually read Divergent, so it's probably about time I started the second book in the series. Looking forward to continue this adventure from my unread shelf! About the Book Insurgent By: Veronica Roth One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love. Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so. #gabookfairy

Starting this quick, interesting read today! Let's see what ladylike things I have yet to accomplish 😉 About the Book The Art and Power of Being Lady By: Noelle Cleary & Dini Von Mueffling "Lady." Let's face it: the word brings to mind a host of associations‚ many of which call to mind costume dramas or tea-sipping debutantes. That is, until The Art and Power of Being a Lady‚ the book that brushes the cobwebs off and makes "lady" relevant to every girl and woman — whether her role model is Audrey Hepburn, Oprah Winfrey, Madeleine Albright, Lauryn Hill, or Mia Hamm. In an era when looking out for one another and taking the high road is too often lost in the shuffle, today's lady has not forgotten what's important. She is kind and considerate without being a doormat. She's assertive, but never a bully. She is sexy without being vulgar. She has great style but is never superficial. She gives back without asking for kudos. And from now on, the perfect word to describe her is "lady". #gabookfairy

Enjoying a lovely cup of "Lion Brew" tea from @albionteaco while I start the 2nd book in the Born In series by Nora Roberts. I'm not really a big "spicy" romance kind of gal, but my Grandmother has been telling me to read this series since I was in highschool! Plus I used a random number generator and Goodreads to choose a random book from my unread bookshelf. 😘 I told myself if the number fell in the middle of a series i hadn't started, I'd begin with the 1st book and work my way through the series. And since number 248 happened to be Born in Ice (2nd book), my grandma got her wish over the weekend! P.S. 1st book was good, so I'm now moving to the second. P.P.S. The Lions Brew has a flavor of Cinnamon apples! 😍 #gabookfairy

About the Book The Thirteenth Tale By: Diane Setterfield The enigmatic Winter has spent six decades creating various outlandish life histories for herself -- all of them inventions that have brought her fame and fortune but have kept her violent and tragic past a secret. Now old and ailing, she at last wants to tell the truth about her extraordinary life. She summons biographer Margaret Lea, a young woman for whom the secret of her own birth, hidden by those who loved her most, remains an ever-present pain. Struck by a curious parallel between Miss Winter's story and her own, Margaret takes on the commission. As Vida disinters the life she meant to bury for good, Margaret is mesmerized.
