🍱🏆🍱TYPICAL DAY🍱🏆🍱 ********************************** . So a typical day of eating is like this for me. Something like this would always leave me in a calorie deficit and I would still lose fat! . For the total amount of calories here your looking at around 1850cal. (Guesstimate) , so this is what I’m saying, you can have your treats, Weather it’s a magnum, or a Kitkat or even a bowl of fruit with yogurt, as long as your in your calorie allowance and allowed yourself to be in a calorie deficit each day, you will lose fat/weight! And this is what diets HIDE from you by giving you a low calorie diet (telling you what’s right or wrong, what to eat what not to eat) forcing you to be in a calorie deficit which then gives you the results you want to see, you then go off track, start going back to old habits (nibbling etc) and you go back on that diet because that’s where you see the results, making that business more money HOWEVER! If you controlled your diet each day, controlled your calories, eat the foods you enjoyed, saved money from diets, had a balance diet, had treats you enjoyed, had a life, took no supplements, ignored the hype, ignored the myths, and made sure you was in a calorie deficit, then you would lose weight/fat, (the part that diets try and hide, so they make money) . I’ve never followed a diet, I just ate more healthy, and exercised when I was on my 10st weightloss. I’ve never tracked macros, or calories, but always mealprepped, controlled what goes in and out of my mouth, but almost importantly I’ve made sure I’ve still had a life , had a beer, a take out, and life!........I’m pretty sure you know what im talking about! I just want you guys to save money, be more motivated and stopped getting ripped off by a fitness industry that is basically fucked up!!! . . Intermittent fasting is the new kid on the block so to speak when it comes to dietary trends. It's the latest fitness buzzword but is there much reason to believe the hype? _ As the name suggests it's a fasting protocol employed by some that has said to improve insulin sensitivity , up regulate the enzyme AMPK, improve fatty acid oxidation, glucose uptake and so forth. _ The basic premise of this style of fasting is to follow a 16:8 protocol, where you will fast for 16 hours followed by a period of 8 hours of eating. _ There are benefits to it when it comes to fat loss and for those on a calorie restricted diet as it allows for you to control the times you eat and it stops you from 'thinking' about food as much (I know that's a common theme for most when dieting). _ However when it comes to muscle building, having to fit in a sizeable amount of calories will have a negative affect on people especially if they're on a higher amounts of calories. Let's say trying to consume 3000+ in an 8 hour period will be tough. _ When it comes to muscle building we want to look at increasing the MTOR pathway throughout the day, which is something which gets inhibited when AMPK is upregulated and that tends to happen in periods of prolonged fasting and glucose restriction. So a lower carbohydrates intake may heighten some of the positive benefits but that doesn't mean you have to be lower carbohydrates if you try this. _ The protocol has benefits on the gut, digestion and improving glucose regulation which for a general health perspective is a positive. _ This protocol will have its pros and cons but from most the studies I've seen implemented on obese Individuals, a calorie restriction and adherence where the keys to longer term success rather than the type of diet they did. So if hopping on one leg helps you achieve that then go for it, if IF helps you stick to your diet, then give it a go. _ If you want me to elaborate on any of the points, please feel free to DM me and I'll be happy to go in depth with you. _ Over and out, Coach Shubz.
