How is it only Tuesday but feels like it should be Friday, longest week ever. Think the high of BTS has definitely worn off and we are pooped. ***for It’s all about deep conditioning in my opinion. My new favorite way to deep condition - maybe bc it seems super efficient?? Protein and moisture I’ll take it! But also bc my curls are responding so well....after I shampoo and smooth regular conditioner all through to get that wet noodle slippery feel. Rinse. Then work in @raw_kyn all over and smooth @devacurl melt into moisture over the top. Follow with heat - I love @thermalhaircare cap. At least 20 mins. Then rinse with cold water. ...whats your favorite deep conditioners? Please tell!

So yesterday I posted my FULL wash day routine video on IGTV and I briefly talked about the WHY behind Cowashing. . A friend asked me lately what was one of the most impactful things that helped me so far with curly hair and Cowashing is definitely one of them.β € . Do you guys really get why we are β€œsupposed to” cowash? . If you think about soaps having harsh detergents in them [sulfates] that’s what makes them bubble! An extreme example would be dawn dish soap. [obviously not for hair, but just listen] dawn dish soap cuts grease in your dishes and gets them clean, fast! But have you ever noticed your hands feel dry after washing dishes? [I mean they even make β€œmoisturizing” dish soap now because of this, right?!] Shampoos are similar because the sulfates help cut the grease in your hair! . If you are using a cowash and it doesn’t have sulfates in it then it ISN’T going to bubble up and cut that grease in your hair. . Insert person- β€œbut my hair is greasy! I need to get it clean!” Lol. I totally get it. You are basically trading out sulfates for a bomb head rub. You are breaking down the grease manually. And in exchange, no [post-washing-dishes-dry-hands-feel] dried out hair! You hair should be left more nourished, moisturized and less FRIZZY! . Does that makes sense?! Comment below if you cowash or want to try it in the future! . . . cut
