I received my @everly_well women's health test results today! I tested estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, DHEAS, cortisol, LH, FSH, free T4, free T3, TSH, and TPOab. Surprisingly, estradiol was a little low! Thinking back, I did notice for a while that I was waking up hot in the middle of the night, having some mood swings, and an increased appetite. And what throws off hormone levels? STRESS. I've had multiple sources of stress lately, so this really shouldn't be TOO much of a surprise. FSH was low too (interesting to note that my ovary points are always super hot during a functional evaluation!). My cortisol was normal in the morning (YAY it used to be too low), normal in the evening, but too high at noon, and too high at night (but not as high as it used to be!). I did the noon test right after a workout so it could be from that, but I’ve also been feeling like I need a break from intermittent fasting, so it’s possible that it has been causing some stress around that time. Again..STRESS. I've known that I need to work on stress reduction and mindset, but I've been neglecting it, and obviously it's time to stop! Everything else was within the normal lab ranges, BUUUT..not necessarily normal within FUNCTIONAL ranges. Free T3 is low, which means T4 isn't being converted into the active thyroid hormone. And my TPOab level, which is controversial, may be high according to Quest labs, and this could indicate autoimmune thyroid disease. So I'll DEFINITELY be looking into that further because that is nottttt something I want to let slip by me! I'll definitely be making more posts soon about how I'm addresing these issues! This is all sooo much better than my labs when I started everything last May and it's always a journey and a work in progress, so I'm happy to have something tangible to work with right now! Time to use my blue light blocking glasses and start drinking some reishi at night 😂!

Anxiety and depression are isolating. Not being able to tell family why you went from family games and laughing to crying alone outside within 10 minutes. I wish I could explain how hard that using healthy coping mechanisms rather than my acting on my first instinct can be. It’s exhausting trying to distinguish the disordered thoughts from healthy ones.... 🔁#eatingdisorderawareness #edfighter#eatingdisordersanonymous #collegerecovery #anxiety #depressionrecovery #trusttheprocess #recoveryisworthit #bodypositivity #bingeeating #bingeeatingrecovery
10:00 pm Dinner✨ Today I had hake fillet with celery, lettuce, a breadstick, hot sauce, and a kiwi. I had to take this to go (as you can see in the third picture 😂) bc I was going out with my parents. Also my afternoon snack was a pink lady apple ✨✨ #food #instagramfood #eatingdisorderawareness #eatingdisorderrecovery #ifollowback #eatingdisorder #nourish #followme #dinner #foodisfuel #foodie #instafood #recovery #recoveryispossible #mentalhealth #mindfulness #healthylifestyle #healthy #healthyfood #anarecovery #diariodecomidas #anarecoveryfood #anorexiafighter #anorexiarecovery #anorexia #bingeeating #nourishnotpunish #bingeeatingrecovery #beatana
